Just curious as to what all of you use for grips on your CC 1911.

I tried the Gunner Grips but they would get stuck on my shirt too much. For the past 2 years I've been using Hogue wrap-around grips. I'm interested to see if there is something better out there.

Have you checked out vcdgrips.com I have them on two 1911's (Ultra carry and Custom II TLE)

I use wood grips but the front strap and back strap of my guns are either checkered or stipled in some way which helps with the grip purchase. This keeps the clinging down to a minimum. A cheap work around is skateboard tape trimmed to fit the front strap area. A similar item is specifically made for this use but I can't remember who makes it.

Just a question, but could it be a holster issue?
I switched to a Crossbreed Supertuck (without the cutout, I am not affiliated with their company other than as a customer) and found that my grips aren't digging or sticking near as much.
The leather shields the skin and the adjustability and fit has allowed me to pull the pistol closer.
I am using checkered wood grips. If it is grips I'd think something like Alumagrips standard smooth might catch less. Still have to contend with any checkering/lines on backstrap though.
YMMV...

Been thinking about trying those. I use VZ Aliens currently on both carry guns.

All my 1911s wear VZ Alien grips. I use them for carry, IDPA. etc. Never had a proble with them sticking on my shirt or anything like that

Dead tree.  All My carry guns have grips made of wood.

I like Packmayr All American grips myself. They give me a good firm no twist girp on my 4" 45s. I haven't hand any trouble with them grabbing my shirt when drawing from concealment. Right now I'm using a set of wood grips I modified a few years ago for a Kimber Pro Carry II. I now have a STI Ranger II with the grips on it. The slim grips that came with the Ranger are too slim for my fat hands.

I have Raasco Dymondwoods on my Baer but they're starting to tear up my shirts so I think I'm going to order some VZ aliens.

I've used both checkered wood grips and VZ Gatorbacks without any trouble.  I've been considering a set of 320's, but I just like the wood grips on my Les Baer too much!

VC double diamond.  After a few days the redness goes away.
