I have recently acquired a commander frame Colt 1991A1 series 80.

Soon I am having it smithed, I am wondering, can I have this made into a bushingless match pistol, or would I be better doing this to another 1911 that is already bushingless?

So you have a complete colt commander or just the frame?  If you just have the frame put what ever top end you want on it.  If you have a complete commander I think you still would be better off with a new 5" topend for it.

I have the complete pistol, I want to send it to a smith and if possible, I want a bushingless barrel instead of the one it has with the bushing.

Sorry, I see the title and question werent worded well
