So I just started reloading. Figured I'd start with 45 ACP as it has the size and dimensions for me to learn easily.
I only have 1 1911 and it is a Wilson CQB. I went to the local indoor range and they always inspect the weapon that will be on the range. Lady looks at my box of reloads and says "wilson and reloads, you must be rich or a really good reloader..." Kind of irked me. As much as I spent on that thing, I can assure you it is getting used as much as possible and I expect it to eat whatever I put in there. I have had no issues with the 100 + reloads that i ran through it. Am I crazy for thinking that it better perform or is she as dumb as I think.... |

My CQB had a .452" throat and would not accept commercially cast bullets. I had to run them through a .451" sizing die first.
It also had a raised ledge along the left edge of the breechface that dented case rims to the point where the cases could not enter the shellholder. Yes, it was expensive and I am a good handloader. |

Quoted:
Not being able to insert a case into a shellholder is certainly an issue to me. Obviously you had some problems. But that's very specific to your particular case. It's not a general issue with Wilson guns and reloading as far as I'm aware. All of us here get it –– the Springfield Pro is the best |

Anyway Im sure the womens seen her share of squibs and split cases, maybe a double charge or two. But more than anything would probably like you to buy some factory fresh from her. |
