fxntime, I just noticed what the engraving on you grips is. Where did you get it? I think that it looks great! Those are the original LB grips that came with the gun. It's an earlier LB, I don't think they use those grips anymore. I sorta thought they were a bit "tacky" but it [the 1911] only cost me a bit over a grand [from what I can see, it was used VERY little] so I'm not complaining. Getting used to the grips but they still seem somewhat "modern" looking for the firearm design. The design is actually done quite well, I'd assume they were laser engraved. |

Yep, those are early Les Baer grips. I remember seeing them back when Les's guns first started showing up around the Birmingham area several years ago. |

I just ordered myself a Les Baer Premier II. Should be at my FFL on Monday. Then I fill out the paperwork and have to wait 10 days before it can come home. In the meantime I will have to buy som more ammo so that I can keep it well fed. The picture is from the catalog, but this is what it will look like and I will have a picture of the actual gun when I get it. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u74/Rudy43Norvelle/PremiumII.jpg Congrats on the new pistol. If this is your first Baer, you will love it. I bought a TRS in bearcoat and the 1.5" group guarantee. Absolutely love the pistol. A big improvement over the Kimber I used to own. |
