| I was wanting to drop the trigger pull down on my SA loaded. I saw some trigger pull sets on midway and was wondering if anyone has ever installed one in their pistol. Who else has trigger pull sets for sale? I looked on brownells and didn't find the whole set. Maybe my search foo is lacking. Does anyone make them in blued so they wouldn't be so bad looking on my park. finish? Does someone make a semi drop kit? Thanks in advance. |

Are you looking at the Cylinder & Slide kits?
I installed one of their kits on my Kimber and have put a little over 3k rounds on it. I'm very pleased with the trigger pull. I did absolutely no tweaking to it. I just installed it and it was good to go. Mine provides a very nice, crisp pull that I'm very happy with. I'd imagine that you may have to do something with the safety on some of the 1911s in order to ensure that your thumb safety worked properly. Mine just dropped right in and I didn't have to do anything. But it is conceivable that it might require the fitting of a new thumb safety. |

The metal is in the white on these kits. What does that mean? How would that look with a in the white hammer on my park. pistol? And yes that's the one I was looking into. "In the white" means carbon steel with no finish. I didn't realize that's how their kits came. It tends to rust easily since it's carbon steel with no rust preventative finish added to it. The hammer usually looks a different color than the rest of the gun, so I personally wouldn't fret. |
