Alright,
The_Gooch got me thinking.  Does anyone have any pics of the SA Custom shop's work?  I'd like to see a bunch.  I KNOW they're a top-flight outfit.  I just want to see more of their work.

Some pics here of the 10-8 Operator and the gun that inspired it.

Here's my carry gun, Valentine, who started as a basic Mil Spec (NM prefix), but was worked over by Dave Williams, sharing his bench with Ted Nugent's 10mm longslide.  She's a relentless tackdriver.

Specs please?  Remove the mag well and add a high grip and that's pretty much what I want my GI turned into.

The gun was pretty much good-to-go in stock trim, having been put together very nicely in Geneseo.  I initially just wanted it de-MIM'ed, and to have the weld-on magwell installed.  Of course, I got a little carried away.  All small parts are Ed Brown, as is the weld-on magwell.  The MSH came off a Colt.  The sights are Heinie.  The beavertail grip safety is Springfield.  The stock one-piece stainless barrel and stainless bushing were perfectly fitted from the factory, so they were retained.  The pistol was mildly dehorned and re-parkerized after all was done (though the pistol has now been Melonized).  My favorite feature is the weld-on magwell.  I have a couple of pistols in the works right now, which will be less modified than the one in the photo above, but which will include the weld-on magwell.

If it helps, here is the link to what the custom shop did to my Lightweight Operator.

Best to start with a GI. Better beavertail fit than you can get from a loaded.

Not the best pic

They checkered the frontstrap, supposedly undercut it. Fit a match bushing and did a trigger job as well as refinishing the frame. Good work, great price and even though I had it done in the middle of a .gov contract got it back in a reasonable turnaround time. In fact 3 months didnt seem bad at all.
