Anyone have any experience with these? I was looking at a new S&W Commander and came upon one of these Sigs. I really really really really liked the Officer sized frame/grip with the Commander length slide. In both cases I am not a big fan of the external extractor or the price but they both had good sights, acceptable triggers, and locked-up tight.

NOTE:
1) I have heard all the talk about current Sig quality being crap so I don't need to hear it again. However if you have first hand experience, let me know.
2) I tried a search and came up empty so please endulge me if I missed a recent post answering my question.

The first Sigs were hit/miss/miss propositions.
The newer Sig 1911 seem to have all the bugs worked out of them.
I actually like the external extractor now because of it's longevity.

I own several new Sig 1911's and love them. Including the Compact which I carry daily. I have had several friends and coworkers buy the C3 and have the same luck with them.

I have a C3 SIG 1911 for my daily carry.  It replaced my SIG 229 .40.  To all the nay sayers...here are the facts of my C3 and my experience.
- Stupid Stupid Acurate...It's downright scary how accurate it is...love it
- Fit and finish are good.  It's made to be a carry weapon.
- Fired 1,216 rounds though her...all flawless rounds...Not one problem.
- Conceals nicely

I almost didn't buy the C3 due to all the people who were so negative, but after seeing it myself and shooting it....I bought it instantly, and have had no issues with the C3's reliability or accuracy.

My experience is positive, and like I said...it's my daily carry and my life depends on this 1911...period.

Only 2 guys with any experience on this Sig? That suprises me.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone else know of a true 4.25 Commander length slide/barrel on an Officer sized frame? The only example of this Sig I have seen is the used one I found the other day and at $785, it seemed a little rich to me. Maybe I'm just cheap.

NH makes a true CCO and so does LB. Double to triple what the Sig is. If you look at other 1911's the Sigs are cheap in their feature to feature comparison to other manufacturers.
