Find a tube of Dow Corning Molykote 33 Medium.

Good for Temps from -100F to 400F.

Slippery as heck, white, smells pretty darn good and it's the perfect consistancy.

You can buy a 150 Gram tube [last  you years and years] and it works very well on Garands and M14s to boot.

Been using it for a while before I posted, you WILL like it.

Plastic compatable also.

Look at the specs on Magnalube-G.    I use it on my M1A and on slides of most semi auto pistolas.  I have been using it for 10+ years.  It is O-ring safe too!

Also check out Magnalube-GX.

Where are you finding it sold? I've been using tetra grease and oil for years now but it isn't as heavy a grease as
I would like, great for cold weather though.

I've been using their grease for awhile now.  While it performs as indicated, it stinks.  Literally.  Each time I pull the cap off, I dread the odor.  Other than that, it works like a champ in my FALs, AK styles, and 1911s.

I stopped long ago buying so-called "gun oil" and other magic gun elixirs and it isn't because they don't work as advertised. It's the outrageous cost that caused me to switch to synthetic motor oil and rear end grease and I haven't looked back. For $10 or $15, you can have a lifetime supply of everything you need (and it works !).

I too have been using Syn. gear oil. I would like to know what to use when the Hoppies cleaning fluid is gone?

I use just plain ole white lithium.  But it does tend to somewhat harden with time.

Does this stuff you're talking about do that?

What he said. I switched to this about 3-4 years ago. Still have 3/4 of the tube left. Superior to any of the many gun lubes I've tried over the years and cheap to boot.

Report:  I use this on the barrel to slide interface and on the lugs of every Glock I own.  Where most used Glocks show some marks at at slide/muzzle interface, mine look brand new with no marks.  With a very tight gun such as the Sig GSR, the lube is too thick.  Only CLP or very light oil would work on it.

My OLY arms 9mm came with a greased bolt from the factory.  The Magnalube worked fine in that platform.  It is messy to clean, so I went back to CLP, which a former Oly employee/board member told me was fine.

I run Magnalube on both my Kimbers and have for years.  I also run it on the roller and bolt of my M1A.

We used to use it in pancake air cylinders to prevent binding, and because it is o-ring safe.
