Find a tube of Dow Corning Molykote 33 Medium.
Good for Temps from -100F to 400F. Slippery as heck, white, smells pretty darn good and it's the perfect consistancy. You can buy a 150 Gram tube [last you years and years] and it works very well on Garands and M14s to boot. Been using it for a while before I posted, you WILL like it. Plastic compatable also. |

I stopped long ago buying so-called "gun oil" and other magic gun elixirs and it isn't because they don't work as advertised. It's the outrageous cost that caused me to switch to synthetic motor oil and rear end grease and I haven't looked back. For $10 or $15, you can have a lifetime supply of everything you need (and it works !). |

You folks that got that free sample of Magnalube G- will you please post a usage report sometime? I needs to know! Report: I use this on the barrel to slide interface and on the lugs of every Glock I own. Where most used Glocks show some marks at at slide/muzzle interface, mine look brand new with no marks. With a very tight gun such as the Sig GSR, the lube is too thick. Only CLP or very light oil would work on it. My OLY arms 9mm came with a greased bolt from the factory. The Magnalube worked fine in that platform. It is messy to clean, so I went back to CLP, which a former Oly employee/board member told me was fine. I run Magnalube on both my Kimbers and have for years. I also run it on the roller and bolt of my M1A. We used to use it in pancake air cylinders to prevent binding, and because it is o-ring safe. |
