I am looking at a new Kimber Pro Carry II or a Springfield Loaded Lightweight. Here is what i came up with on both-

Pro Carry II: The series II safety worries me, I kep reading that Kimbers customer service is horrible, I have read cases of the slide cracking around 10,000 rounds (not a big deal to me if Kimber will replace it!) kimber only has a 1 year warranty?!

SA Loaded Lightweight: I have read that fit and finish is questionable. i have read that the OD green coating on the frame is junk. However, the majority seem to say that customer service is top notch and very helpful.

I just want to pick the one that will last a very long time and be backed by a supportive company. I know people will say Wilson, nighthawk....and so on are better, but these two pistols are my price range and I need a 4 inch for carry. What do yall think?

Of the two, I would go with the SA. But if it was me I would also look at the 4 1/4 inch Colt Combat Commander and the Dan Wesson.

I have a Combat Commander XSE and though it needs the trigger cleaned up some, it is a decent handgun.

If you're looking for a 4" SA, the LW Champion Operator is just the ticket.  Not all SA's are created the same.

The LW Operator, MC Operator, Operator, LW Champion Operator, and TRP are all exceptionally well built and finished pistols.  Here's my LW Champion Operator.  Tell me if you think the fit or finish looks lacking in the slightest.
