Looking at the Kimber Ten II which is a polymer high cap full size 1911. I know it's not purist but the price is $565. Does anyone have one or know anyone with one? I'm concerned about feed issues with the double stack, other than that I really like the gun. The grip is kinda blocky but I can live with it for 13 rounds of .45. My other option was a Taurus for the same price, any advise would be appreciated.
I had one....was very accurate. Mags were expensive..one always had feed issues. Finish wasnt holding up well either. Sold it to a friend with giant hands and he loves it. save another $100 bucks and get a single stack Kimber....If ya want Hi cap .45 the XD has proven itself well and is right in your price range.
Well, that's what I'm trying to decide, I already own glocks and beretta high caps but I want a .45. I had a custom II a couple years ago, I'm just trying to decide if I want to take a chance on this one. I don't want something that's not going to be reliable after it's broken in. I did notice mags are outrageous maybe I should steer clear and save my coin for a custom II or SW1911?
I too had one of these and ended up selling it. There were many reasons. The main one being that it ejected brass into my face a lot. Also had feed issues. The final reason was magazines. They were about 50 bucks a pop and all you got was a cheesy mec gar mag in a kimber wrapper. I also found that Kimbers customer service sucked. They were always rude on the phone and very unwilling to help. Though the Kimber Ten series are shitty, I haven't had any problems with any of my other kimber pistols. I would not recomend buying a Kimber ten series pistol to anyone. I have had great luck with springfield 1911's .
