I know that at one time it was reported that most, if not all, Kimber slides and frames were made of stainless steel. Does anyone know if this is still the case?

I've got an old Kimber (pre swartz) the Frame is Steel. It has to be steel for the frame is blued.

Back in the pre series II days nearly all of the steel slides and frames were stainless, the silver guns just getting a bead blast and the black guns just a layer of oxide over the top of the stainless (which wore off in pretty short order). The only guns that were for sure carbon steel were the "Royal" series that came with a nicely polished blue.

I believe that this is still the case, though I'm not sure what lies beneath the Kimpro  finishes on the SIS and Warrior models. I'd be very surprised if it weren't stainless.
