Very nicely done! JD |
If you re-read the post, ive been waiting for 2 years for this to come together... So, this build is really nothing "new" I guess... |
HA HA! He means the dovetail of the sight itself matching the "round" of the top of the slide.........oh wait, you probably know that.......///no sarcasm smilie was detected/// But dude, I'd just say that thing is pure beauty! Just awesome. Worth the wait, I'd say. Just very, very well done. Those guys do great work. You've definitely got a winner there. Good photography too! Those shots (I'm assuming you took 'em) really show the gun to us. Good detail, really helps us "get to know" it. |
I assume that is what he meant becase the front sight unfortunately cannot be blended/countoured - with the rear sight being melted completely down into the slide, any and all sight adustments must come from the front sight. But, you probably knew that, right? So function wins over form on that one...I do agree, it is a minor cosmetic detail.. |
Got it...the metal would wind up being too thin on the edges of the sight base. I suppose that's only possible if the top of the slide is milled flat. How about a few range pics of that sweet piece in action! |

I just dont have ANY luck with Fedex/UPS. It was shipped yesterday overnight to my location and it hasn't been delivered yet. UPS Has it held in Louisville, KY (I live in Florida) under "adverse weather conditions as of 0130" lastnight, with no new updates online.. little concerning..... |
FedEx sent my Heirloom Precision P35 to QUEBEC. If Canadian customs had noticed it, that would be that. |
