Who sells 1911 parts kit?  Besides sarco, I have had a very bad experience(sp) with them.

Don't buy kits: parts kits, reloading kits, etc. They always have stuff you don't want.

Assemble your own kit by buying high quality parts from reputable vendors.

yup pretty much...or try calling around to some custom 1911 smiths and ask if they have take off parts from factory guns...thats your only other option.  I got mine that way but had to find my own slide.

I buy most of my parts from Brownells or Midway.  Of like was said before, call some local 1911 smiths & ask for 'take off' factory parts, always a good choice for spares.

Check out Fusion Firearms. I'm looking to build my own 1911 real soon. These guys look pretty good.
