Hope this is the right section for this.  I'm looking at Avantage Arms (http://www.advantagearms.com/1911conversion_kit.html) conversion unit for my 1911.
Anyone have any experience with them, are they good or bad?  Thanks for your help.

No idea on the AA kit.  The Marvel rocks.  Tactical Solutions' new kit is awesome too.

I've heard a little feedback on the Marvel kits and it's all been good; they look solid as all hell, I really want to get one for suppressing.

Anyone have any more opinions or stories on them, I'd love to hear them!  Also pictures!!

Works great.  Dedicated frame with no ejector.  Silicone is used to fill in the series 80  and ejector gaps in the slide.

Blowback is more than my buckmark, but not too bad.

I still plan of fitting a better grip safety.

Great shooter too, 10 yards, 10 rounds, 2 hand hold:

Awesome pics and Sweet looking setup!!

Is the ejector something that would need to be removed if I were just using this kit on an otherwise .45 1911, or is it just unnecessary with this kit?

No, the ejector stays if you are going back and forth. For a normal .45 swap, you just take off the slide and put on the .22 slide.  It's just that easy.

I got tired of swapping around, so I bought a dedicated frame (Foster/Caspian) and trigger parts and such. Since it's a dedicated frame, no need to fit the ejector or spend the money to buy one.
