Ok me and my buddie were paddling down the creek yesterday afternoon catching shoal bass.  Well we had to walk the canoe around some rocks and keep in mind this is not a fiberglass vessel (old tipsey aluminum).  Well when we were getting back in it flips over spilling everything including my Kimber 1911 Desert Warrior WITH Laser grips.  I took it apart last night, cleaned, got everything dry and thankfully it still worked fine.  Are these lasers waterproof?  It was submerged for a while and pretty wet inside the grips. Is there anything i should take special note of for cleaning a wet pistol other that drying and oiling?

with electronics that get wet usually you should remove any power source and let them sit for a while to dry completely before trying it.  Some people put them in sealed containers with silica gel stuff to absorbs moisture.  Water doesn't ruin electronics it's the minerals etc in the water that causes the short circuits.
