Picked this up this old waterproof first aid kit at the local surplus store today after work and I couldn't decide what to use it for.... then it came to me.

Its boating accident proof!

Nice! I've got about 3-4 of those kits,but they're white. My Dad used to give me the old kits whenever he would up-date the ones in his office.
You know what you should do? Buy some foam and cut it so the pistol and spare mags will fit without moving around.

Why would you want that? Someday that gun might have to fall over a boat and it would be in your best intrest in letting it goto the bottom.

Not bad though. If you don't have a safe this will do until then. Then you can load that box with spare parts/magazines and other essential 1911 gear.
