Assuming 95% condition and no monkeying, $400.

Slightly higher on a Commander or OACP model, maybe $450, IMO.

well i found 2 of them used in twon, they are both 95%-ish but neither has the 2nd mag or a box.papers and the shops want $480 & $499 for them. I want a guy that I can "pimp" with some parts, but should i go get a rock island tactical 1911 instead of the sued SA??

I would say it's a tad high. @ $480+

However, I would by a Springer over a Rock Island.... cast is not always bad,
but forged is always good :)

The GI brand new only comes with 1 mag. Also, in some places, you can get brand new for around $500. I wouldn't pay more than 450 for a used one.

400 @ 95% if you blue book it. I could pick one up locally for 375-425, depending if it was private individual or dealer.

i sold my used one for $375 and feel it was a fair price.

Just keep your eyes peeled and have some patience. Grab it up when you find it at the price you like.

Is the GI the one that says "US" on the grip? I bought a LW Champion like that NEW for $419 about a year ago. I am pretty sure the same dealer is selling them for around $459 NEW now.

I don't buy used guns unless they are cheap. I'd give $350. If it looks to new I'd wonder why you're selling.

But I see used guns selling for as much as new all the time.
