I would think about anything else. IMO the Para Warthog combines everything wrong into the 1911 platform. Strike One: it's barrel is <4". What is the point? <4" are more finicky, require more maintenance, and are a good deal more difficult to shoot. Given the choices out there these days, the ONLY thing a <4" 1911 might offer is a deep cover boot/ankle backup which is squandered by... Strike Two: The widebody profile. If you want a 10-14+1 1911 style pistol for competition or nightstand defense, that's your prerogative, but it should be in a weapon no smaller than a commander. This fat little turd is not a good carry with its extreme weight and it is poor for concealment with its fat ass profile (as well as the chunky spare mag). Either go P14 or go Colt Defender. Smashing the worst features of both into one an unwieldy paperweight does not make a good compromise at all. Strike Three: It's a Para. Cast frame, MIM, and plastic parts all at a price that makes you wonder why you didn't spend hundreds less on a Taurus if all you wanted was a third rate 1911. |

I'll agree with the pulpmaster... Nuttin' good to be had there. Ya, ya.......my cousin's uncles' brother has one and it runs great... or...I've had one for 8 years and it's never malfed.....(75 rds through the gun)..LOL And it's 'acp' not 'apc'. And it's para...get ready, here comes the HARD part..... ORDNANCE Not Para-Ordinance Not Para-Ornance Not Para-Ordinince None of then Canuck types can spell, better hope for hockey skills. ![]() |
