I’ve decided to change carry guns. I’m going to a 1911A1 model. I know someone that is selling two compact 1911s. Both are used but not abused and neither has any modifications. One is a stainless Springfield Armory Compact and the other is a blued Charles Daily Compact. I don’t really care about the finish. My question is which one os better quality and why?

Both camps have loyal followers, both companies offer good customer service.

My pick would be the Springfield Armory as the Frame and Slide are Forged whereas the Daly is Cast.

how is CD's customer service? If it doesn't run well, will they tweak it (being that is Made overseas, I'm doubting it).
