I searched, and maybe I'm not doing it right, but I couldnt find anyhting about a GI guide rod replacement.  I've got a SA Loaded and want to get rid of my full length guide rod.  If I'm not mistaken, all I need is the standard plug and spring guide correct?

Yes,
And if you follow the rest of diatribe posted here, you need to get a trigger that does not have any lighting cut  holes as well in fear that they could get filled up and render the pistol useless as well.

It's not that I dont like the FLGR, but I dont see much need for it. I'd rather not have to carry a 5/32 allen when I go out w the pistol just to field strip it.  I love my trigger too.

ETA: i was just wondering b/c all of the SA's i've seen had the std 1 piece FLGR, so i'm just wondering if they swtiched up to the ones that need the allen wrench

It's a two piece since it requires the allen wrench.

I bought a SA last week and the first thing I did was to get rid of the stupid 2 piece FLGR.

All you need is the GI rod and plug about $15 including shipping from Brownells.
