Well I am new to the forums so I thought I would share my stuff. My 1911 started life as a Springfield Mil-Spec but after about 6 months of shooting I decided I wanted some things changed and something worthy to carry. So after some research on 1911 smiths, I sent it to D&L Sports and Dave did a great job with it. I have had it in its current condition for close to 2 years now and I haven't had a single problem with it. I love this gun. And I love the hard chrome finish. On a side note, I am currently using Wilson Combat 47 magazines and they work great . But I am interested in their new elite tactical magazine. I would like the extra round per mag and it seems like they would fit well in the SA magwell. Has anyone had any experiences with them?
