Do any of you fine gents own one? Is it worth the $$, or am I better off saving for a Series 70 and sending it off to a smith? |

STI makes a range of guns, some of which get more fitting and attention than others. The Legacy, I believe, is a higher end gun which is meant to compete with the Baer/Brown/Wilson offerings, and is generally regarded as a pretty good value in that light. If it were my money, I'd send a Colt to a 'smith, if only because I'd get exactly what I wanted and not have to live with the choices STI has already made for me on the Legacy (though it's fairly close to the kind of 1911 I prefer). |
