If you have a 1911 in .45ACP.  Is it possible to just change the barrel to 9mm?  If so, what parts have to be changed? (bushing? guiderod? the whole mag, or just the followers?)

as far as i know, its not easy at all...

you would be better off getting a dedicated 1911 in 9mm vs trying to convert your .45acp to dual calibers, esp 9mm

you will need, and i'm not sure if these are all, bbl, FP, extractor, bbl bushing, mags (complete, and some only feed well in some firerams), springs, etc

and, maybe the slide, but i'm not sure, like i said...

and its all got to be fitted properly

of course, you probably should wait on more knowledgeable folks to chime in...

yeah you need a new complete slide with barrel and everything and 9mm magazines. As far as the lower part is concerned it is the same. Just modify the slide to fit the frame and not the other way around.
