looking for suggestions on a 9mm 1911. I'm looking for a full sized gun and am thinking about a fusion firearms kit and build it myself. used to have a springfield 9mm but sold it a few years back and have regretted it ever since... any ideas or suggestions appreciated.... |

I recently picked up a current production Springfield in 9mm. It needed some work to get it up to my standards. Here's what I've done so far: Replaced 28lb mainspring with 19lb competition mainspring Replaced ILS MSH with S&A Replaced firing pin stop with EGW oversized stop (to minimize extractor clocking) Adjust extractor to add tension Polish and bevel extractor hook Replaced guide rod with GI guide and plug Replaced front sight with Dawson .100" wide fiber optic Break sharp edges Round off slide stop plunger and replace spring Stone relief angle on sear to reduce creep Readjust trigger overtravel screw |
