I'm a little confused - I'm looking to get an extra firing pin for my Springfield px9109l in 45 acp and I don't know which one to get.  I know that it uses a titanium firing pin, but the only one I can find is this one:
www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=734224&t=11082005

It says it is for 9mm luger and 38 Super.  Les Baer also has one that is made out of Stainless steel.  My understanding is that Springfield uses a different firing pin so it doesn't have to have a firing pin safety.  However, I can't find the info on their website.  Is this the correct one?

Oops - my bad - I meant Ed Brown has one made of stainless steel

You can also use an Ed Brown #826 firing pin

I've never compared my Super and .45 firing pins....I don't know if Springfield uses the same pin for both.

The Springfield 1911 firing pins are unique (in diameter, 0.075-in) and are in between diameter of a 45 FP and the smaller  diameter 38/9mm 1911 FPs.

I get steel, as Ti wears faster and I'm OK with standard series 70 handling.  Midway has them (Ed Brown identified as FOR SPRINGFIELD ONLY), EGW has their own as well, and identifies the Springfield only as having a diam of .075-in, whereas the Caspian/Colt 38/9mm FPs are ~.068-.073-in, and regular 45 1911 Fps are ~.093-in tip diam.

IIRC, Brownells lists the 9mm firing pin to fit all SA 1911 Govt models, both 9mm & .45acp versions.
