So I bought my Springfield 1911 double stack. While I love the 1911 series I have had nothing but problems with this since I got it.
1. I cant find a holster with retention for it ANYWHERE. looking for a Serpa if there is once but any at this point will work.
2. At ruffly 7 yard range I am getting some huge amount of drop. They are all center mass and right in the middle just afraid if I aim at some guys head hes getting one in the crotch. And I am not using reloads, or bad amo.
3. During firing the slide will get stuck half way cocked on the round trying to entering the chamber. I am not sure if this is just  a simple ramping job or what.

I love the gun and really would like to solve these issues.

Send it back to SA. They will fix it. they are great about that.

When mine got fails to feed from the mag, I knew my frame was cracked again.

Sorry to hear about your problems, this is probably one of the reasons most shy away from the double stack 1911's.  That and the fact that they are not traditional looking.

I too would say return it to SA, have them get it right or swap it for a single stack.

If you want the best double stack 1911.

You have two choices STI and SVI frames.
