I have a Charles Daly 1911 .45 ACP. It has a LPA Adjustable rear sight that I want to replace. There's all kinds of ears and stuff sticking up in every direction waiting to take another pound of flesh each time I pull the slide. ![]() Is there another sight similar to a Novak Lo Mount that I can install using the existing cuts? Or at least without all of the ears and sharp edges sticking out, etc. Thanks |
No. It is not a Gi or Novak. It has LPA on the left side. It looks almost like a Bomar. The cuts in the slide look like that also. I'll try to post a photo in a couple of days, maybe. I think I might grind about 1/8 in. off the ears on either side of the sight and dehorn everything else. That probably will work but will ruin for re-sale, maybe. Thanks guys. Roy |
Dude, you bought a Charles Daly. Resale value is already horrible. Might as well grind to your heart's content. |
You got that right. That's why I just bought a SA loaded. Night & Day. No competition. In a few months, perhaps Feb. or Mar. I may buy a Caspian with Novak cuts and build something based on the CD frame. Who knows. Da shadow do. |
