I have one of the older loaded operators with the long dust cover rail and I was thinking about selling it.  Are these somewhat rare, should I just hang onto it?  I can't seem to find any of the older ones on gunbroker or this site to compare prices with.  Thanks for any help.

While they are not necessarily rare, they are in high demand. There was enough demand for the full-length rail that 1911forum people managed to get Springfield to do another run of the TRP Operator with it. I can't figure out why they quit making it.

If it's in stock condition, I'd suggest a price of $750-800, but then again, if you decide to sell it, let me know. I'm looking for another one.

I'll probably end up hanging onto it if they're in high demand.  I was only thinking about selling because I don't shoot it much.  If I do decide to sell it, I'll let you know.  Thanks.

And here I thought I was about to read a thread about a drunk South African hi-speed individual.

Good on you for hanging on to it. The Loaded Operator doesn't bring the higher price of the TRP Op, but IMO, it's better suited for what it's intended for. I'm not a fan of the adjustable sights or bull barrel of the TRP Op.
