I know this is a vague question but it seems not too far from what I think I might want in a nine mm. 1911. Seven hundred new leaves some room for any necessary 'adjustment'. Stainless slide on a alloy frame with no XSE style slide treatments. My perception of scary small parts is one personal issue with these. Colt does not make one like this, too bad. Is this a poor platform for a nine mm.? Would I be better off with a 'European nine'? CZ, FN or the like? |
I have the Tactical Pro II and the Pro Carry II both in 9mm. I really enjoy shooting them both. Both are very accurate and the heavy bbl seems to stabilize the short 4" slide nicely. I'd never trade a 1911 in 45 for them but they are fun to shoot for a change and the 9mm is cheaper as is always noted in these posts and it keeps you shooting the same platform all the time. I have had zero issues with either pistol to date. I think you would like them. Good luck on your choice. JD |

My Carry Pro 9mm is accurate, reliable and wrings more out of the 9mm than the 3" offerings. You can get a used one for approx. $600. Forget trends and learn to shoot whatever you have. I forget it's on my hip most times - slim! http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o196/rkamp_111/IMG_0029.jpg |
