I have a Springfield GI. it has functioned much better than i should expect from a gun i got for so cheap. the only problem that really needs resolving are the sights. In daylight, the stock sights work well for me. but as a carry gun, id like to be able to use is outside of well lit areas. The question is, is there a way to get better sights without modifying the slide? im trying to save money. but as always, i will take any suggestions the board has for me.

Thanks
Brandon

Check with King's Gun Works. They offer several sights that will fit your needs without slide mods or breaking the bank. The King Tappan set is very nice around $40. Also, don't forget the tennon size on the front sight for Springers is different than Colt or other copies. I think the size you need is .082". Good luck with your choice.

Also check the Novak web site for options. They will install new sights AND sight the gun in for you.

I think XS 24/7 sights will fit with no mods. I'm planning on a set for my SA MC Operator.
EDIT- Nevermind, I forgot you had a GI. The GI's and Loaded's have different sights.

Since you say "outside of well-lit areas" I assume you're wanting tritium.

Trijicon and Meprolight both offer night sights that fit the existing dovetail.
