I'm trading my Glock 26 for a SA Ultra Compact.  It will by my daily carry gun, so I need a good holster for it.  I currently have Blackhawk CQC Serpa holsters for all my pistols, and I would like to use one with the new one too, but I don't know if they make one.  I like the serpa ones because it holds it's shape, doesn't require breakin, and positively retains the pistol, so I can have the overall hold a bit looser, making for an easier draw.  I'd much prefer to carry OWB because that's what i'm used to for drawing.

What are my options?

I'm a Leather guy myself. Do yourself a favor and try a quality holster like the Milt Sparks 55BN

what size will fit a SA UC?  Will it fit into a regular "officers model" holster, or does it specifically need to be a UC holster?

It will fit an Officer-size holster, unless it's one of the new ones with a rail.

nope, no rail.  I'm just concerned with buying a holster that doesn't fit right.  I prefer the molded ones, so it's all or nothing with those guys.

I personally consider the Sparks VM2 to be the second coming of concealed carry holsters, but I think they're running a roughly twelve year backlog right now.

if you catch a MIlt Spark dealer at the right time there is no wait.

I can only add, My money was not wasted on the Milt VM-2 holster. It is easily 3 times better than the old Don Hume OWB holster I have.
