You should recognize the builder by the style.

As stated, this is a work in progress. The builder was given a lot of latitude, being told the trigger, grip treatment, sights, and a few other things were to be a certain way, including an msh from my friend Stan "THE MAN". Other than that, artistic interpretation was encouraged, with the caveat that this is a to be a duty weapon. I could hear his smile over the phone! This has been a fun build on my end, because even though I have a very good grasp of the gunsmith's style, I didn't know what the gun would look like. Would there be ball cuts? French border? Flat top? Serrated? Even the final finish was left to the builder. Looking at the gun in the white, I am very excited.

When you and your gunsmith understand each other, cool things happen. Some things don't need to be said. Some things you just feel compelled to mention. I'll wait for final photos, before I go any further, but suffice it to say, that there is a reason I have loved this man's work for so long.

Be well!

That sure is a sweet looking deal, even if it isn't done yet.  I really like the cuts on the top of the slide, and that melted bushing.  Ok, I also really like the MSH. :)

I don't ever use the term lightly, but I call that craftsmanship. Outstanding craftsmanship.

Yeah, Steve. I know. You can never get enough trigger time. But Chuck is one of the greatest to ever touch a file. I'll retire my PROs to back up status, and spend the rest of my life beating the hell out of this one. And after all of that, I'll pass the heirloom to The Monkeys.

Besisdes, I can't practice right now, anyway...

BTW, *cough* MG34 *cough*...

Lets not talk resale value

To rain on you parade, your career path is going to put a shield in your wallet from either the City or County. This pistol is prohibited from off duty/backup use by the County due to its barrel length, and prohibited by the City due to caliber.

I have a feeling that when it's all said and done, this will be known as one of the nicer fighting guns to leave the Roger's stable. That said, One of my favorite Roger's pieces is still Bodeen's...
