I'm kicking around the idea of sending a Mil-Spec off to YoBo for one of their 1* packages; anyone care to share the expereinces with the various setups? I'm leaning towards the Enhanced or Elite setups. Also, what are the current turn around times on the guns? |

Im my humble opinion they are the best in the business when it comes to 1911's. I have had several of their 1911's and have a LWT Commander coming this month. I've dealt with a lot of 1911 smiths and custom shops, and I have yet to find a shop that has the depth of knowledge the YOBO guys have. They truly know what it takes to make a 1911 run forever. Their turnaound times are not bad at all, and have been decreasing as of late. Here is a Yost 1* for a Yost 1* I recently had built for my dad. |

They are one of the best. I haven't heard anyone say anything negative about them. Check with Yost-Bonitz on their quoted turn around time. It varies. I have a pre 70 series Colt Lwt Commander that I sent in for their 1* Enhanced package. They should be shipping it back to me in the next month or so. Can't wait to get it back. Once I do, I will provide a range report. |
| I had a 1* enhanced built less than two years ago. The turn around time wasn't bad and the pistol was a work of art. I've had several high end 1911's including Wilsons and a Springfield Pro. The YoBo was definitely one of the best I've owned. I sold it to go to a dedicated light rail gun and regret it quite often. |
