[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Grip safety question

Is the commander grip safety the same as the governemnt model? I thought it was the same but brownelles lists the commander safety as being the same as the officers so I am a bit confused.

The answer to you question is NO.

The Officers acp and Commander use a different grip safety from the government.

Thanks SGB. So who makes a bever tail style to fit my colt commander frame? I have a drop in on it now but can't stand how it compares to my properly fitted mccormick safety on my government size frame.

The difference would only apply to a drop in part, any grip safety that requires the frame to be modified should work.
