Well, I just had to brag a little as I never shot a group this tight before. Now I wish I had more time to practice that grip, but I think I have it in memory. We'll see during the next range session. The rest of the 95 rounds were decent. ( I ain't gonna show those off. The weapon: A 1911A1 Springfield Armory Loaded 5" barrel, factory, shiny blue finish. The distance: About 20 feet. The ammo: CCI Blazer 230gr with aluminum casings Shots fired: 5 Crosswinds: None Caffeine in blood: 12oz of Pepsi  |

Not bad. Careful putting the slide stop back in when reassembing. My 1911 is a little older. It doesn't have an ambi safety nor an adjustable trigger, but I'm right handed and the trigger pull is just fine as is, so it's all good! I was thinking of a Kimber Eclipse Pro, but I think I'll be staying with SA and get a Loaded Champion in SS one of these days or a Kobra Carry if I can afford it. I was at a gunshop and saw a brand new Kimber with the slide serrations starting to rust due to customer handling. Guess they didn't care to wipe and lube their guns every once in a while. |
