Well, today after about 6 weeks of waiting I finally got my Springfield 1911 Milspec. with a a blue finish. It is a beautiful gun. Even came with two grips. So I can switch them back and forth. Right now it has the rosewood on them and the other grips are black plastic. Thats what you gotta love about 1911's. I might even see if I can get some more grips in the future from Ajax. Get myself some mother of purel, staglite and all those rainbow color ones. I am so happy to finally have it. Beats the hell out of that Auto Ordanace 1911 Milspec that I had earlyer that I told you all about that I sold that kept stove piping and the front site coming off after shooting it. The finish is alot nicer two. The Auto Ordanance one had a piss poor finish. Lots of flaws on it. I will probly get more 1911's in the future. I was wondering speaking of which if AMT 1911's (Highstandard) are any good and if they are made here or if not where? Just curious because I might get myself one of those some day also. Along with a Colt and S&W and Kimber and on down the list. Someday maybe I will see if I can post some pics of mine.
