I guess I could revive the old thread but why make everyone dig thrue, bought new rubber grips, removed old wooden ones (they hurt like hell after 100 rounds)

However on removing the right grip, instead of the top screw coming out, the screw + bolt comes out, seems that that bolt is unscrewing instead of the screw, Can I buy a replacement bolt + screw at say home depot ?  the gun aint mine and i dont wana mess with the wooden grips and risk damaging it..

oh to add, its a colt goverment model about 50 years old.

A little loc-tite on the threads of the bushing. Screw it in, wait a few hours, then slowly back the screw out. Bushing should stay in the frame.
