[ARCHIVED THREAD] - S.A.M.?

What do you guys know about S.A.M. 1911s? I hear that some of their parts can be out of spec. Local shop has a "Blue Thunder" SAM(did some research, didn't find anything) for $289.00. It's clean and in excellent shape, but I just don't know enough about them to know if I should pick it up or not.

Current frame manufacturer for Charles Daly, Auto Ordance. Hit and miss quality. I would suggest nothing over $200, if it works.

Sam,is shooters arms.They are not related to armscor,Charles daley,etc.They are made in the Phillipines.Most had billet slides and cast frames.The last israel arm pistls were made by them.Most people seem to think the armscor pistols were/are better quality.
