i have a kimber tleii and springy loaded lightweight, what is a good choice for a 1911 in the 1000 dollar range . wanted to try something different. another mfg . pics if you feel like it.

Taurus just came out with a 1911 that has excellent reviews.  One writer compared it to his custom Kimber and said it held its own.  And the best part...its only $599 sugg. retail

I don't have one personally but I know a lot of shooters at the local matches use them and love them!  I would also suggest a nice Colt.
