| I just received back a Springfield 1911 MC Operator which I had sent to the factory for minor repair. Springfield Armory replaced the sear and sear spring and sent the pistol back to me last week. They forgot to return the magazine I had included, and after a quick phone call to customer service, I had a replacement magazine 4 days later. They had also told me they would reimburse me for up to $50 worth of my cost to ship the pistol to them (it cost $52 to FedEx Overnight the pistol from DFW, TX). In today's mail I received a check for $50, just as promised. I have been nothing but pleased with Springfield Armory, from the time I needed a replacement rear sight to this latest experience with their customer service. I have absolutely no regrets about any of the other 3 Springfield 1911 pistols I own. |

I mentioned it once before in another thread and I will say it here again: Just the warranty alone convinced me to buy Springfields. It makes you feel secure that you have the support of the company in case something doesn't go right with your pistol. And a refund on your shipping too!! |
| They treated me well too, I had a Mil-Spec that was shooting low, and was also marking the caseheads on my brass. It seems that the breechface had a high spot on it and needed cleaned up.I asked them to do that as well. I also asked if they would repark a mainspring housing I had installed. It was a MSH from a Rem-Rand pistol from WWII complete with lanyard loop. It had zero finish on it other than some cold blue I put on it. I also offered to pay for the reparking of the MSH. Well 2weeks later I get my pistol back from S.A. WOW! They cleaned up the breechface, installed a higher rear sight to correct it shooting low, reparked the slide, and reparked the MSH all at NO COST!!! also sent me a check to reimburse my shipping costs, This is customer service at it's finest! I was very impressed. |
