| Which one for the front for my loaded full sized 9mm with adjustable sites? Also, will the kimber rear work as well or is that a diffrent cut, they don't have a springfield listed for rear other than the XD. |

The Springfield adjustable rear is the same as the Para. It's made by LPA. The Kimber one won't work. It's a different cut. Dawson does list the Para sight, and when you click on their Para link, it says it will fit Springfield also. Try this link for the rear: www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+REAR:Para+Ordnance This is for front sights: www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+FRONT:Springfield+Armory |
| The front on your gun, if already cut for a dovetail front, should be a standard Novak cut. A call to Dawson will confirm this. Most likely they will have a taller one, though one iss not shown. If not, and if it's a standard Novak cut, you can order a variety of sights from Brownells that will fit that front dovetail. Most likely though, you would need a taller front, like a .200", even though their sight lists .185" as a requirement. |
| I called them and ordered the .125 wide by .185 tall. They said they didn't have anything taller and this would work with their adjustable rear when I get it and the one I have now. She said the .125 would fill the rear notch and I figured that was what I wanted but she said it like it was a question if I wanted that....why would you not want the front to fill the rear? |
She said that because Dawson caters to competition shooters, and many prefer (rightly so) a .115" front for quicker sight acquisition. I don't think they make a .115" fiber optic front, though. |
