does anyone have one of these I'm thinking of ordering one for my gold cup but don't want to permantly alter the gun and its about 80 bucks cheaper they said that the regular one compared to the drop in just looks better. Does this mean that the drop in looks bad if anyone has one could they please post pics thanks

The drop ins tend to look like dogmeat compared to a properly fit piece IMHO.

Totally agree with Sitck...if you cannot install one yourself, then have it installed.

They do, truly, look like hell.  I had one on a factory Colt Enhanced pistola, and installed it on my brother's duty 1911, since they wouldn't allow modified firearms at the time.  I fitted a Clark to mine, and I like them the best.

The drop-ins  do not allow your hand to ride as high as a properly fitted Wilson, Clark, etc.  beavertail.  They aren't hard to install, if you have some skills. I can do it with a vise and a file, and I have done a few.

Don't ugly up your Gold Cup with one of those contraptions.

Sorry, no pictures.  It is not photogenic!
