My Springfield GI Micro has never hiccuped once in the first 1k rounds. Yesterday it had a couple of failures to eject. I don't have pics but I will do my best to describe. Pistol would fire, slide would cycle back, empty cartridge would get stuck parallel with the slide in the ejection port so that the empty was positioned lengthwise in the port. A fresh round would start to feed, but obviously only partially because of the stoppage. The primer side of the empty, and the open mouth of the empty were wedged. I was using Magtech range ammo like I always do. My ejection port is lowered, but not flared, which should really only affect which direction the brass flies, but I thought I would mention it. It seems like maybe the ammo wasn't cycling the slide all of the way, or maybe the ejector isn't doing it's job? Any suggestions?

Check your extractor tension and replace the recoil spring/s. After 1K, they are shot in the shorties.

Is the extractor the original one? If so I would recommend getting a new one, like a Ed Brown Hardcore Extractor.

Check the extracter ,you may need anew one. By the way what brand are the sights you have on this pistol? what about the safety, I need both on my Springfield. I have a newer version of the same pistol and mine has a flared ejection port. I emailed Springfield and they said that the recoil springs should last for several thousand rounds. I change recoil springs in my full sized gun after 2to3 thousand,so go figure.
