I just picked up one of these today, Was at Cheaper than Dirt TX, looking at springfields and was set on picking up a 1911 SS Mil-spec, while the guy was in back finding one in a box looked at the para and told him to put the SA back, In comparison it has more Bells and whistles than the Mil-spec which was the same price. Finish apears to be a bake on. pulling back the slide is like a wet dream, like its on ball bearings compaired to even the higher end SA's. Has a Ramped barrel. Barrel Bushing Fits VERY TIGHT! Comes with plastic bushing wrench and an allen wrench for every thing that is an allen screw on the gun, Grips are very nice wood, they just have the gold emblem in them that kinda takes away from the tone of the wood. and of course I have PICS!! BTW on sale there $600, Springfield Mil spec Stainless is$619 (one of these was my first 1911 paid $450 new for it! wtf has happened to the pricing?) I think I did pretty good!
I was going to buy the SA and add stuff to it, I havent found anything this bad boy needs yet!! Well maybe a good cleaning, and the beavertail fits a little tight, guess it will get looser with some shooting! I have about 500 rounds just waiting for this bad boy to chew up! All WWB will see how many FTF's etc it has,

Nice find. I have had many Para's and they have never let me down.
I like the Single Stack ones, I was just looking at one the other day..

I'm wearing a Single Action, Single Stack Para right now. A lightweight commander type "LTC". I love it. I carry it as often as I do my Wilson.
