I'm having a hard time deciding between the Ed Brown and the Dan Wesson Bobtail's. The Dan Wesson is $1300 cheaper. I'm trying to decide where the extra $1300 is in the Ed Brown carry model. In your opinion is the Ed Brown worth $1300 extra? I have read great reviews on both guns. thanks in advance |

it is funny you mentioned this question today. I was at the range today shooting with a good friend (who happens to be the gunsmith at this range) and he pulled out a dan wesson to show me. I have never had a chance to finger play with one, let alone shoot one. And let me tell you, when I took it apart and looked at the guts, you would very surprised. The fit, finish, machining on the inside was everything my Ed Brown is. Now there are some cosmetic details that are found on brown's pistols that some might consider a little higher quality with some more attention to detail, BUT - this gun was very impressive considering how much they are going for. I'd say if price is an issue, and you are 50/50, go with the Dan Wesson. If you have saved/budgeted for the Brown, get the brown. I think either way you will be completely satisfied. Let us know how it goes.. |

I just ordered a Dan Commander Classic. I've got a PM 7 now and am really pleased with it. A whole bunch better fit, finish and detail than my Springer black stainless. I've been wanting a Kobra Karry but I'm going with the Dan. There's a good review on gunblast.com Mike |
