I'm a new NightHawk Custom Dealer. I just received several Talons in and the S/N ~ 00650 range. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the total out there but they are perfect Tom |

Nighthawk is the best thing going on the semi-custom 1911 market. I would compare it to any Wilson any day and bet it would show better attention to detail. I have a CQB that is a nice gun but compared to the Nighthawk Talon a guy on my team has it's not even close for relatively the same price. A Nighthawk will be my next 1911. I'd sell my Wislon to buy it if I hadn't put so much work into...which it shouldn't have needed at it's price. YMMV |

Have a Colt 1991A1 Commander and it just wasn't up to what I wanted. It was every bit as good as the .45's I used in the USMC, but at my age I thought it was time I got as close to a "custom" as I could aford as time is passing for me. I researched the 1911 types out there and was focused on a Kimber. When I came across the Nighthawk on some forums, I began to appreciate the difference between forged vs cast, mass produced vs individually produced, fit & finish, etc. Must admit that the $$$ of the Nighthawk set me back on my heels a bit. Talked with many who owned Kimbers and others who owned Nighthawk products and eventually went with the Nighthawk. It shoots like a high performance car engine runs. Hard to pin it down but you just know it when you handle it and fire it. Not one bit sorry for the purchase and have enjoyed owning it. Really haven't even broken it in yet. Shoots a heck of lot better than I do. It's mainly my CCW piece. Still have the Colt and it is a very capable weapon but it is like having a sedan as opposed to a high performance sports carhis Semper Fi! |
