I've always liked for my stuff to look different from the crowd. I have done so many gray/black & od green/black 1911's lately that I thought it was time for a change in the colors on my Kimber. I changed it from gray/satin black to earth brown/matte black. I may end up changing the barrel from matte black to earth brown, (I almost think its too much black on top) but I wont have the time for a while. I used CeraKote for the finish. It is a little more expensive but the look, feel, and quality of the coating are well worth the additional cost.

It is the original but I modified the right side to accomidate for the laser on a set of Crimson Trace grips to fit. I have three other projects (FAL, M1A, 6.8 SBR) in the works all at one time & just havent gotten around to ordering them yet.
