I could get a new Springfield from a buddy who works at a local retail store for well below cost. I can get one in 4-6 weeks (sucks) for $510 plus tax. This is my first 1911 (I have a Ruger now) so I need to know: is this a good deal? Here is a pic of the gun. Thanks for any input http://www.springfield-armory.com/images/pistols/PX9154LLarge.jpg |

Well he's a dept. manager, so he can order one gun from each manufacturer per year at factory cost, and he's letting me get what I want (really cool guy). I just happened to be talking to him about getting a new gun, and once I looked at the 1911's I really liked them. Then the springfield came up because it's a great starter gun and great quality from what I've heard. Thanks for the opinions! |
| Buy it! Thats a deal I would not even bother asking my wife first about.h.gif |

Just do it! Or you can go through life kicking yourself in the ass for not buying it... I have a loaded that I got for $630 after looking all over hell. I love that gun and its worth every penny. I got it on my 45th birthday. Took me 45 years to buy the gun I always wanted. If I would have got a 1911 25 years earlier I would have saved thousands of dollars buying the wrong handguns. I wish Chuck Norris would have roundhoused me in the head sooner! |
