| okay...heres my choices...a Parked Springer Mil-Spec, or a Blued 1991A1. I want something to build on. Which would be the better gun. I know the ILS can be replaced, but what about the series 80 parts. I was kind of dissapointed when i found out the Colt didn't have a half cocked notch, can this be corrected with a new hammer/sear ? |

For a build, get a new rollmarked series 70 in carbon steel. Check out Hilton Yam's site, www.signaturegrade.com The series 80 guns use a "hammer safety shelf", similar to a 1/2 cock notch. Fear not the series 80 parts. Despite what you've heard, they work very reliably and do not affect the trigger pull to the extent that anyone can tell. SF |
