I just picked up a SA Loaded, but don't like the full length guide rod. What all do I need to switch it over to a just a spring and an end cap? I hate needing a tool to take apart a gun.

Buy a standard GI type recoil spring guide (the shorty), and a Standard end cap (no hole).
Put your New full lenght 2 piece guide up for sale in the EE, and you will break even.
